Public health protects and improves the health of individuals and communities in the places where they live, learn, work, and play. The public health major at the University of Toledo prepares students to work in a range of professional settings after graduation including: healthcare and other non-profit organizations, 听local and state health departments, federal health agencies like the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), 听corporate worksite wellness programs, and academic or applied research institutions. A minor in public health is also available for students who wish to combine basic training in public health with another major disciplinary focus.
