Appointed 鈥淎mbassador to US鈥 by the City Government of Toyohashi Japan, May 25, 2015, May 26, 2016 to present, 2018.
Establishing exchange program for physicians between Toledo Hospital and Toyohashi City Hospital, starting 2015.
Organized annual Japanese Spring Festival since 2010.听 Attendance increased to over 400 in 2013.
Recognized by the Consulate General of Japan in Detroit for second highest enrollment in听 the state of Ohio following the Ohio State University. The total enrollment for the Japanese program in 2012 was 226.听 (Ohio State University - 534).
Organized the first Special Speaker Forum for the Japanese Studies program.听 Mr. Kuninori Matsuda, consulate general of Japan in Detroit, was the speaker.听 175 students and faculty members participated at this event on February 5, 2013.
Grant of approximately13,000 dollars yearly for the Japanese School of Toledo was awarded to UT since听 2003.
Conducting the Study Abroad program in Japan for three weeks during Summer Session each year, taking average of 10 UT undergraduate students.听 It is the cultural immersion-style program along with his lectures and visiting various historical sites.听 This program has been ongoing since 1999.听
Organizing Study Abroad program for Executive MBA program in 2007, 2008, and 2009.
Established Sister-College Exchange program with Aichi University, Aichi, Japan in 2006.
Developed the employment opportunity agreement with the Board of Education in the City of Toyohashi,听 Aichi prefecture, Japan, in 2005.
Being instrumental to establish the Japanese School of Toledo in 1992, receiving a grant from the Ministry of Education and Science of Japanese government.听 Currently, there are over 50 Japanese children as well as Japanese heritage students in this institution.
Being president of the Japanese-American Association of Toledo as a president since 1995听听听 听 听
Being a vice president of the Toledo-Toyohashi Sister-City Committee as a Vice President since 2000.
