About Our Office
Mission
The Office of New Student Orientation Programs (NSOP) welcomes all new undergraduate students and families to ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· community. NSOP collaborates with campus partners to design, plan, and execute student-centered transition programs that serve as an initial place for students to learn about resources and responsibilities, register for classes, and develop a sense of belonging.
Vision
We seek to develop empowered Rockets with a sense of agency and resiliency to become successful members of the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú´«Ã½ÎÄ»¯×÷Æ· community.
Learning Outcomes
- Students will feel connected to the University community and establish a sense of school pride.
- Students will know what it means to be a part of a diverse student body with shared goals of learning and development, as well as the academic and financial responsibilities that come with this membership.
- Students will identify who they can go to for assistance in a range of areas, including academic, physical, mental, and social.
- Students’ family members will feel comfortable with and confident in the services and resources their students are provided.
