Class of 1969听
- Nancy Collins is the Director of the Cytotherapy Laboratory at Memorial Sloan-Kettering
Cancer Center, New York, New York. Dr. Collins
specializes in the development of new laboratory techniques to increase the success
of stem cell transplants in patients with
life-threatening blood diseases, including certain lymphomas and leukemias. She is
featured in the Spring 2004 UT Alumni Magazine. She gave
inaugural AWIS and the 2nd annual distinguished alumna lecture 鈥淪tem Cell Research:
Facts, Myths and Future Directions鈥 on Wednesday,
October 5, 2005. She was recognized as the Outstanding Alumna from the College of
Arts and Sciences (for the Sciences) for Homecoming 2005.

Class of 1947
- Julius Jacobson established a new Endowed Professorship for the Biological Sciences

medical achievements that benefit so many, Jacobson
