Dr. Melissa Gregory who has served as interim dean of the College of Arts and Letters since February 2022, was selected following a national search to continue to lead the college as its permanent dean in March 2024. Dr. Gregory joined the College of Arts and Letters dean鈥檚 office in 2018 as an associate dean. Gregory鈥檚 accomplishments include leading multiple innovative curricular initiatives, increasing the college鈥檚 overall participation in undergraduate research, and elevating the visibility of the arts and humanities. Gregory is committed to student success and is proud to lead the college where students graduate with degrees that have trained them to adapt, pivot, and grow into future.

Dr. Brittanie Kuhr is director of development for the College of Arts and Letters,
the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, and the University Libraries. With
nearly ten years of higher education experience, Kuhr has served in various fundraising
roles at other four-year institutions in the region. She currently serves as the chair
of the strategic compliance committee, which supports the University鈥檚 Office of Community
Engagement and Strategic Partnerships. Kuhr also has a passion for student success
and has supported retention efforts by teaching study skills courses to undergraduate
students and serving as a liaison for first-year students navigating the college experience.
