Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement (BCSSE)听
The Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement (BCSSE) is developed by the Center for Postsecondary Research at Indiana University. The survey collects data about incoming freshmen鈥檚 high school academic and co-curricular experiences, as well as their expectations for participating in educational activities during the first year of college. In particular, the BCSSE survey offers Advising Report, an individualized report designed to help understand students鈥� background and expectations about their first year of college.

Campus Climate Survey
The Campus Climate Survey, developed and led by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, is for students, faculty, and staff of the UT campus to get a sense of the overall climate at UT and to determine ways to improve the culture of the UT community. More information can be found听here.

First Destination Survey
In November 2015, UT piloted First Destination Survey to 1,400 undergraduate students who graduated in summer 2015 and who applied to graduation in fall 2015. IR has supported this survey during each fall and spring semester. More information can be found听here.

National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)
A nationally-recognized survey on student engagement, NSSE is designed to assess the extent to which students are engaged in educationally purposeful activities that contribute to their learning and success during college (Kuh et al., 2001). The survey was administered at UT annually first and then switched biennially since 2002. The most recent administration was in March 2021. The next scheduled administration will start in February 2023.
